Welcome to The Bahamas Medical Council

The Bahamas Medical Council, (“the Council”), is a body corporate registered under the provisions of the Medical Act, 1974, and was established on September 30, 1974. The Council primarily regulates the medical profession in The Bahamas, registers all doctors, and issues licences to doctors registered under Section 9 of the Medical Act, 1974.

The registered office of the Council is located at the Jonathan Forbes Building, Delancy Street, Nassau, Bahamas. The Council is comprised of a Chairman, six Council members, the Registrar and the office Secretaries.
